Kulvinder Lall

Cardiac Surgeon

Kulvinder Lall is one of the United Kingdom’s leading cardiac Surgeons.  Having qualified as a doctor at the age of 22 from the University of London and training in heart surgery in London, Glasgow & Sydney, he was appointed to St Bartholomew’s Hospital as one of the youngest cardiac surgeons in the UK at the age of 35. As a National Health Service Surgeon he has performed in excess of 5000 bypasses in the UK with outstanding results as measured by The Department of Health.

 

A leading specialist in aortic and coronary surgery he has been published in over 15 peer reviewed journals and is actively involved in research and pushing back the frontiers in his field. He has taught extensively in China, Europe, Hong Kong, The United Kingdom and Israel and was the first implanter of a stentless heart valve in Beijing in 2010. More recently he has been the sole implanter of the next generation sutureless heart valves in the UK, presenting his data at International meetings in New York, Manchester and Kolkata.

 

Mr. Kulvinder is an active member of the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons (UK), The European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS) and The American Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).

 

When dragged away from the operating table, Mr. Kulvinder enjoys being a fine wine connoisseur, playing racquet sports and spending time with his family.
